Description: | Information about research funding is becoming ever more important for established and early career researchers alike. The Research Information Day held a particular session hosted by the Schools of Arts and Humanities and the Humanities and Social Sciences together with the CRASSH Postdoctoral Forum to provide postdocs and early career researchers with relevant information in four presentations and an QA session recorded on 26 October 2012.
Dr Daniel Wunderlich - provides a strategic overview of research funding and the relevance of networking for research (31min) Dr Steve Joy - introduces the Careers Service support for AHSS researchers (5min) Ms Jenny Gilmartin - Research Operations Office discusses the support available for researchers regarding funding applications identifying funding opportunities and a basic 'must know' on research finances (20min) Dr Barry Dixon - presents on writing competitive funding applications (22min) Q&A - The above speakers discuss with early career researchers departmental support, division of labour in collaborative applications, etc. (21min) The podcasts, slides and other relevant information are also available via the Arts, Humanities and Social Science Research Website. |
